🚨 WEST BLOCTON WATER SERVICE NOTICE 🚨

West Blocton Water will be performing a valve replacement that will require water service to be interrupted beginning at approximately 1:45 PM today.

💧 Areas affected:
• Riverbend Road
• Schultz Spring Road
• Cardinal Drive
• Oak Trace
• Ponderosa

Water service is expected to be off for approximately 3 hours while the work is completed.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to make necessary improvements to our water system. We apologize for the inconvenience and will work to restore service as quickly as possible.

📢 TOWN HALL CLOSURE & COUNCIL MEETING UPDATE

Just a reminder that West Blocton Town Hall will be closed Monday, September 7th, in observance of Labor Day. 🇺🇸

Because of the holiday, our regularly scheduled Town Council Meeting will be moved to Tuesday, September 8th.

The Town of West Blocton is currently accepting applications for a Grade 2 Water Operator and/or General Laborer position.
If you are hardworking, dependable, and interested in serving your community, we would love to hear from you!
📋 Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain water treatment facilities and equipment
• Monitor water quality to ensure regulatory compliance
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on pumps, motors, and related equipment
• Respond to water system emergencies
• Maintain accurate records and reports
• Work with the team to provide reliable service to our customers
✅ Qualifications:
• Valid Water Operator Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience in water treatment is a plus, but not required
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and organizational skills

💧 WATER OUTAGE NOTICE 💧
West Blocton Water is currently working to repair a busted water main. Water service will be temporarily shut off on:
📍 River Bend Road
📍 Schultz Creek Road
📍 Oak Trace Road
Our water department is working to get the main repaired and service restored as quickly as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to make the necessary repairs.

Mt Carmel and Truman Aldrich: Water service will be turned off for approximately 20 minutes to do a quick repair! Thank you for your patience and understanding!!!!

Contractors are bolting in the last part now and water will be restored by 5pm. Water pressure may be low until water builds back up.

🚨 Planned Water Outage Notice 🚨
Please be advised that water service will be temporarily turned off on Thursday, August 6, beginning at approximately 9:00 AM while a new district meter vault is installed. We anticipate service being restored by 2:00 PM, but we are hopeful it will be back on sooner.
The following areas will be affected:
💧 Vernontown Rd
💧 Crystal Lake Rd
💧 Hopewell Church Rd
💧 Haysop Church Road
💧 Eoline Rd
💧 Part of County Rd 9
💧 Part of Vance Blocton Road
We encourage residents in these areas to prepare by storing any water you may need before the outage begins.
