💚 Today is World Mental Health Day, and in Washington County, mental health is the #1 reason people call 211.

Too many young people can't get care because of cost, lack of insurance, or long wait times. United Way is working to change that.

Since 2022, we've invested $912,500 with Catholic Charities, Youth & Family Project, and Kettle Moraine YMCA to expand access to mental health support services for uninsured and underinsured youth.

The result: more than 6,450 counseling and support sessions so far. 💙

This is what community problem-solving looks like.

Need help? Call or text 211, or call or text 988 for a crisis.

🥫 We filled the truck! 🚚❤️

Throughout September and during kickoff, food donations were collected in partnership with Bob's Main Street Auto & Towing. That incredible generosity was delivered to food pantries in Slinger, Hartford, West Bend and Kewaskum—reaching every corner of Washington County.

And what an impact it made! We were greeted by the friendliest, warmest faces who were so genuinely thankful to see our community come together to help fill their shelves and support their neighbors.

We can’t thank Bob’s Auto and our incredible community enough for making this new addition to our annual Kickoff such a success.

You showed up. You gave generously. You filled the truck. And you made a difference. 💙

They moved almost every full box. They wrote encouraging notes. They packed snacks. And we think they had some fun along the way!

The West Bend Power Hockey team provided the LIFT we needed at our kickoff event. It’s no small feat to move out the hundreds of packed snack boxes and send them out to the community, but the Power Hockey Team was up to the challenge! 🏒

Thank you so much for your support!! We couldn’t do it without you!

Let’s show them support tonight as they kick off their home opener! 🏒🙌 And mark your calendars to do it all again on December 4th for Mental Health Awareness Night! 💙

What snack pack volunteers saw when they walked into kickoff was orderly tables, sky-high piles of snacks, and hundreds of meticulously folded boxes.

What they didn’t see was the pre-party — our group of 30 volunteers who got everything READY!

These folks arrived four hours before kickoff and organized everything so it was just right. 💪

We could not have had a successful event without our pre-party volunteers. Thank you so much to our friends at West Bend Insurance Company and Threshold Incorporated's Building Full Lives program who set the stage and helped us have an amazing kickoff event! Thank you Menasha Packaging for donating all of the fantastic boxes!!
