A shining example of the commitment to our great community, keep up the good work!

Thank you to our law enforcement partners at the Washington County, Wisconsin Sheriff's Office!

Last night Sheriff Schulteis presented a Resolution to honor both Deputy Kyle Wright and Deputy Mitchell Hermann for their recent acts of heroism in the line of duty.

These Deputies responded to a very serious and rapidly evolving incident in the Village of Richfield on November 16th. Through quick thinking, sound judgment, and decisive action, Deputies were able to safely contain a highly dangerous situation involving an impaired driver, a child in the vehicle, and the potential presence of a weapon.

Deputies recognized the immediate risk to the public and prevented what could have become a high-speed pursuit or a far more tragic outcome. Their professionalism under pressure ensured that the suspect was taken into custody without further incident and, most importantly, that a young child was safely removed from harm and placed with family.

Thank you for all you do to keep our community safe!
