How much do you know about protecting your personal information online? That's the question being explored in Libraries Teach Privacy, a new national publication that helps library staff and educators teach privacy literacy skills to people of all ages.

We're proud to share that West Bend Library Director Steve Thiry co-authored several chapters of the guide, which is scheduled to be adopted later this month by the American Library Association at their annual conference. Steve has helped shape a resource that libraries across the country will use to teach topics like digital privacy, online safety, and informed technology use.

Congratulations, Steve, on this national recognition and for helping libraries empower communities in an increasingly digital world!

Thanks to our Supervisor Lifeguards for their work at Regner Beach this season!

We are excited to introduce our 2026 Supervisor Lifeguards! From left to right: Lilia Greifenhagen, Ainsley Katte, and Kayla Dodge. These professionals will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Westbury Bank Aquapark and Regner Park swim pond this summer. Be sure to say hello when you see them this summer. Heads up on an upcoming WisDOT project!

Beginning Monday, June 15, the state Department of Transportation will begin work on a curb ramp improvement project along W. Washington Street (WIS 33) and N. Main Street/Barton Avenue (WIS 144). You may have noticed cones and work zone preparations that started yesterday in anticipation of it.

This project continues accessibility improvements that WisDOT began last year and includes upgrades to curb ramps throughout the community to meet current ADA standards. Small sections of adjacent sidewalk and curb may also be reconstructed as part of the work. Here is where the DOT will post updates on the project: https://projects.511wi.gov/westbendramps/

Expected project duration is through the fall

There have been multiple sightings of a knight roaming the Kingdom of West Bend. His purpose and next location are uncertain, but his commitment to full armor in summer weather is admirable!

Titletown Brewing Co. has set a grand opening date of Friday, June 26, for its new downtown West Bend location, bringing one of Green Bay’s premier craft brewery brands – along with a full food and drink menu – to Southeast Wisconsin.

Located at 401 N. Main St. within The District development, the riverfront establishment is expected to become a destination for dining, sports viewing, social gatherings, and family outings. It is the second physical location for Titletown Brewing, which first opened in 1996 and remains one of Green Bay’s longest-established craft brewery brands. A public soft opening will be held at the West Bend location on June 24 and 25 from 4-10 p.m. with full restaurant hours and menu options beginning on June 26.
