Regional Recreation Department plans and coordinates regional activities and events hosted at the various state parks located on Long Island. Events include fishing clinics, children's programs, golf tournaments, tennis and volleyball tournaments, the popular Summer and Winter Run Series, spring and fall festivals, the Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach State Park and much more!

Packet pick-up for race bibs and giveaways starts TOMORROW morning at the Long Island State Parks Regional Headquarters.

The dates and times are the following.

Wednesday 6/3 from 8am to 7pm
Thursday 6/4 from 8am to 7pm
Friday 6/5 from 8am to 7pm
Saturday 6/6 from 8am to 1pm

Please have your race number ready when you arrive so we can assist you as quickly as possible! This number was sent by email and text from directly from EliteFeats.

There are still spots available for Tier 2 if you still haven’t registered for the series.

The first race will be next Monday, June 8th at Heckscher State Park. We hope to see you there to kick off another summer of running!

Due to tomorrow’s forecast, the Grand Finale Drone Show has been moved to Monday, May 25th.

The show will start at 9:00PM and feature a display with 1000 drones. This will conclude Salute 250 at Jones Beach this Memorial Day Weekend.

Despite the forecast, we are thrilled and excited to host you at JONES BEACH as we SALUTE 250 this weekend.

EXPERIENCE what life was like in 1776 with our REENACTMENT VILLAGE, full of colonial festivities including FIFE & DRUM, REVOLUTIONARY PERFORMANCES and EDUCATIONAL DISPLAYS from 12PM to 6PM at the CENTRAL MALL BOARDWALK CAFE both SATURDAY and SUNDAY.

On SUNDAY, ENJOY festival activities at the WEST BATHHOUSE from 3PM to 6PM, musical performances at CENTRAL MALL BANDSHELL from 6PM to 9PM, and the grand finale drone show at CENTRAL MALL BEACHFRONT at 9PM.

Come join us next weekend for a 250th celebration you don’t want to miss!

Jones Beach State Park will have a historical re-enactment village all weekend, with festival activities and live music on Sunday. A grand finale drone show will take place at 9:00pm on Sunday, May 24th to end the weekend with a SALUTE to the SKY!

The vehicle use fee for Jones Beach has been waived for May 23rd & 24th so everyone can enjoy this FREE event.

There will be additional 250th events coming up soon to make this a year you’ll never forget!
