Have you seen the purple ribbons blowing in the wind along Greenfield Avenue and at City Hall?

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a national campaign dedicated to raising awareness about domestic violence and supporting survivors.

Purple ribbons are a symbol of advocacy for Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention. This October, the GFWC Woman’s Club of West Allis tied purple ribbons around City Hall and along Greenfield Avenue to show support and serve as a visible reminder that our community stands together to raise awareness, support survivors, and promote prevention.

The Woman’s Club of West Allis has championed Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention for more than 17 years, working alongside the West Allis Police Department to support victims and survivors of domestic violence.

Help is always available by calling the 24/7 confidential hotline at 414-219-5555.
