Murphy Meetup at Limanski’s!

Join me Monday at 6:00 PM at Limanski’s for a casual evening of conversation and community!

Stop in, grab some dinner, enjoy a drink if you’d like, and let’s have a chat. And it’s a great night to come by because Limanski’s has their 75¢ wings special!

Bring a friend or two, pull up a chair, and come say hello. There’s no agenda and no speeches, just an opportunity to meet, talk, and hear what’s on your mind.

I’m looking forward to seeing you Monday!

A big thank you to the Republican Women of Greater Milwaukee for hosting such a wonderful meet and greet with Milwaukee County candidates, and to Tammy at Dopp’s for welcoming us and hosting the event.

I’m truly appreciative of opportunities like these to meet people, have meaningful conversations, connect with fellow candidates, and hear directly from members of our community.

Thank you for creating a space where we can come together, connect, and talk about the issues that matter to Milwaukee County and our communities. I’m grateful to be part of it!

Keep your eye on this page for upcoming Meet and Greets - I look forward to meeting you there or at your front door!

As I walk our neighborhoods and see American flags, I think about freedom.

The freedom to speak.
The freedom to worship.
The freedom to love.
The freedom to work hard and build a life.
The freedom to choose our leaders and the direction of our communities through our elections.

We may not always agree and that's ok.

What matters is that we have the right to make our own choices, to have our voices heard, and to peacefully disagree while still standing together as Americans.

That’s what this flag represents to me.

Gratitude. Freedom. Choice. Opportunity. Hope.

I want to thank the VA for hosting the September 11 remembrance ceremony at the cemetery last week.

Twenty-five years later, I still remember the lives lost, families forever changed, the courage of the first responders, firefighters, law enforcement officers, military members, and everyday Americans who stepped forward in the aftermath.

Throughout this past week, I’ve had the opportunity to hear people’s stories through my messages and in conversations throughout our community. Each story, each memory, and each conversation is a reminder that September 11th is not simply a date we mark on the calendar. The memories and the impact continue to live with people every day.

I’m so very grateful to our veterans, our first responders, and everyone who continues to serve our communities and our country.

We did not have an interpreter for the forum last night and there were several deaf people in attendance.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been an interpreter and that endurance is real lol

I was happy to sign last night and I’m thankful to Cat who stepped in while the Mikes and I were answering questions.

It was great talking with you today Mike! You shared the things that matter most to you and your family, our community, and your ultimately your wallet, and what I can do to make a difference in Madison.

You shared your concerns about utility prices and the role the Public Service Commission plays in decisions that directly affect families and businesses right here at home.

Thank you for the conversation, your support, for proudly posting our signs, and for putting your trust in Mike Roberts and myself.

(Clarification - this is a constituent named Mike, not Mike Roberts)

🌿 If you see me in my front yard, stop by and say hello!🪴

If you’ve seen me out tending to my herbal garden, you may have thought about stopping to talk but didn’t want to bother me. Please do.

I genuinely enjoy when neighbors take a few minutes to stop and have a conversation. Some of the best conversations don’t happen behind a microphone or at a campaign event. They happen at your front door, in your front yard, or while I’m trying to remember which herb I planted where! 😂

Sunday, someone was walking by and seeing the campaign signs, see me in the yard, and ask, “Have you met her yet?” When I said, "I'm her", we had a good laugh. 😂

In case you didn’t know, I’m a Master Herbalist. My gardens are a big part of who I am, although campaigning hasn’t left me nearly as much time to tend to them as I’d like.

So when you see me out there, you’re welcome to stop by. Come say hello. Let’s talk. I’d love to hear from you.

Now back to doors!

I had the opportunity to join Charlene this morning on her Kin Folk Radio show to talk about the three constitutional amendments on the ballot.

We were also joined by economist Mike Ter Maat, who is seeking to change the way the United States selects its Vice President, among other ideas. He brought some interesting perspectives and raised some thought-provoking policy ideas.

Whether we agree on every issue or not, I believe these are conversations worth having. We should be willing to ask questions about how our government is structured, the balance between federal and state authority, self-government, protecting our constitutional rights, responsible spending, and making sure the government doesn't place unnecessary burdens on taxpayers.

Our Constitution isn't just a historical document. It establishes the framework for our government, protects individual rights, and places limits on government power.

Thank you, Charlene, for having me on Kin Folk Radio and for creating a space for these conversations!
