Community Center rental fees as of 01/01/2026.
Just like everything else, our costs for everything the building requires have also increased. We just can’t have the building losing money anymore.
On the bright side, if you’ve been inside lately, you’ve maybe noticed everything is much brighter with new paint, and we’ve replaced (thanks to donations) every table and chair in the building, and more changes are in the works.
I promise you, our fees are still the cheapest around.
If you’d like to reserve the building for your event, call or text Lany.

🚨 NOTICE PLEASE SHARE 🚨

The City of Wesley will be flushing fire hydrants on Wednesday & Thursday, April 29–30.

During this time, you may experience:
Low water pressure and Discolored water

This is normal and the water is safe to use. If your water appears discolored, please run your tap until it clears.

We recommend avoiding washing light-colored laundry during this time, as discoloration may occur.

Sticks, logs, grass, and plants are not allowed in garbage containers or dumpsters. Please take these items to the City burn pile. We also cannot accept car batteries, tires, or rocks. These items will be left behind and not collected. Please help respect our City workers’ time and safety. They should not have to climb into trucks to remove prohibited items.

To request a dumpster, please call City Hall on Mondays. Dumpsters will be delivered on Tuesdays (if available) and picked up the following Tuesday. Dump cost: $38.69 per dump. If you would like to keep the dumpster an additional week (no dump), you must call City Hall again the Monday prior. Weekly rental (no dump): $23.01 per week. All charges will be added to your next City bill.

Did You Know?

Iowa offers tax benefits for veterans and homeowners age 65+. Veterans may qualify for a $4,000 military service property tax exemption, and homeowners age 65+ may qualify for an additional $6,500 homestead exemption on their home’s taxable value.

Contact the Kossuth County Assessor before July 1 to apply or learn more.

This is for the family in Wesley Iowa who had a very serious house fire, the family is needing clothing, gift cards, cash to help get them back on their feet and somewhere to rent!

My boys ages and sizes are
9 years old size 10/12
14 years old size 14/16
16 years old size 16

My daughters ages and sizes are
13 years old sizes 0-1 jeans small/medium leggings and medium shirts
16 years old sizes 0-1 jeans small/medium leggings and medium shirts

My sons mainly wear shorts and sweatpants

The mother is size medium women and same size jeans as the daughters and small/ medium leggings!

My dad is xtra large shirts and hoodies 33/34 pants but he mainly wears sweatpants

If anyone in town has donations please drop them off at 303 2nd street south in wesley here please put Donations in the Porch!
