Today we proudly celebrate our incredible staff members for their years of service and unwavering dedication to our campus, our students, and the Wildcat family. Your commitment, hard work, and heart have made a lasting impact on countless lives, and we are so grateful for all you do each and every day. Thank you for the time, care, and passion you have poured into Cuellar—our students are better because of you.

We would also like to extend a very special congratulations to Mr. David Gamez on his retirement. Mr. Gamez, thank you for your years of service, dedication, and for always looking out for our campus and students. Your presence has meant so much to our Wildcat family, and you will truly be missed.

Farewell to our amazing 8th grade Wildcats! 🖤🐾

It feels like just yesterday you walked through our doors as new middle schoolers—and now you’re leaving us ready to take on high school. What a journey it has been! We have watched you grow, learn, lead, compete, perform, and make memories that will always be part of Cuellar.

As a small parting gift, each of our 8th graders received this special shirt to remember their Wildcat family and the time they spent here with us. We hope when you wear it, it reminds you of the friendships, laughter, challenges you overcame, and all the unforgettable moments made at Cuellar.

We are so proud of each and every one of you and will miss you more than you know. While it’s hard to say goodbye, we are excited to see all the amazing things ahead for you.

Athletes, champions are built when nobody is watching. Every sprint, every rep, every drop of sweat over the summer is an investment in yourself and your future. Staying active and continuing to work on your craft now will only make you stronger, faster, more confident, and more prepared when next season arrives.

Take advantage of the incredible opportunity being offered through our 2026 Summer Strength & Conditioning Program for all incoming 7th–12th grade athletes zoned to Weslaco East, Cuéllar, and Mary Hoge. This is your chance to train alongside teammates, compete, improve your speed & agility, and develop the work ethic that separates good athletes from GREAT ones.

8th Grade Celebration Week — Day 2! 🎉🐾

Today was Game Day, and our 8th graders had the chance to relax, hang out with friends, and enjoy some fun before the year comes to an end. Students played video games and classic board games like Battleship, Twister, Scrabble, and many more — and even our teachers joined in on the fun!

For their treat, students enjoyed raspas with all the toppings… plus a few extras! 😋

Only 3 more days until our 8th graders leave us, but they will always be part of our Wildcat family.
