Got questions, ideas, or just want to say hi? Come out to Wentworth City Hall this Friday morning for "Coffee with the Sheriff"!

Newton County Sheriff Matt Stewart and members of the department will be there to chat, listen to community feedback, and answer any questions you have about local safety.

The meeting for tonight has been canceled due to 2 board members being ill. We would not have enough for a quorum.

These Board of Trustees meetings are open to the community and are held at 106 Chestnut, Wentworth, MO. 64873 on the SECOND Wednesday of each month at 7 pm CST.

The Village of Wentworth will be hosting a village wide garage sale on September 12, 2026. Table set up is available at the Community Building as well. Table usage will be FREE of charge. First come, first serve. Maximum of 2 Tables per household. Thank you.

We will also be once again participating in the Annual Missouri Take Out The Trash Event on September 26, 2026 9am-5pm.

Flyers will be attached to your monthly sewer invoices from now until September. Please be looking for these inside your invoice!

The new storm siren has been installed!

Thank you for your patience in this matter! We are all set and ready for the next siren test and ofcourse siren necessary weather!

Coordinated efforts are underway to safely dispose of limbs and wood debris via a controlled burn by the railroad tracks, with input from the fire department. The process is expected to begin making progress by next weekend. Thank you for your understanding.

The Denali animal processing sludge tank located on J Highway, 1 mile west of Wentworth near Walleye Road, has applied for a new permit to build a new sludge tank. I have attached a link with information for anyone who wants to write to Missouri Department of Natural Resources (by December 1st) to voice their concerns and opposition. The greater the number of responses the greater the impact. In your correspondence please list their permit MO-0140953.

Denali Water Solutions LLC applied for authorization to either discharge to waters of the state, or to operate a no-discharge wastewater treatment facility.
