Every milestone is a moment to celebrate. Today, on National Cancer Survivors Day, let us pause to honor the journey of every cancer survivor, come together to , and join forces to lessen the burden of cancer survivorship.

Let us use our voices to call for more resources, research, and legislation to improve cancer survivors’ quality of life. More people are surviving cancer and living longer after diagnosis than ever before. However, despite this progress, a cancer diagnosis can leave a host of problems in its wake. ncsd.org

Today is National Cancer Survivors Day. It is a day to celebrate those who have survived, a day to inspire those who have been recently diagnosed, a day to gather and support families and an outreach to the community.

Yesterday volunteers from Our House - Cancer Care NCW participated in the National Cancer Survivors event at Pybus. There were several local non profits in attendance, all aimed with providing information, help and support for anyone affected by cancer.

Also in attendance were a local non profit which creates beautiful drawings and letters (mainly done by children) which get sent all over to people who need uplifting. Each resident that stays at Our House receives a Happy Letter in their welcome package 🤩

Here is the wonderful speech given by our Gratitude Garden designer, Susan Cusick, at the Grand Opening last weekend.
She shares her thoughts and hopes of how the garden will be a blessing to all who gather and relax in it.
Her vision is for its visitors to RELAX, RESTORE and REFLECT.
We hope all who come to the garden will find peace and hope in their life’s journey. ALL are welcome to visit the garden.

This weekend was a highlight at Our House! We got to celebrate the Grand Opening of The Gratitude Garden.

The garden stands as a tribute to Betsy & Nevio Tontini, the founder and builder of Our House CancercareNCW.

In attendance we had members of the Tontini family, the Cusick Family, Members of the Board, community members who generously donated to the project, volunteers and others.

Special thanks go to Susan Cusick of Cusick Gardens who envisioned and managed the project, along with her sons of Greenleaf Earth Works & Maintenance and Zac of ZB Metal Artisan.

We hope that all who visit The Gratitude Garden will feel a sense of peace and calm and have time to meditate and relax.

Again we offer our thanks to the many people who made this project happen.

EVENT HAPPENING THIS SATURDAY!!!!

We are so excited for the Grand Opening of The Gratitude Garden at Our House Cancer Care NCW.
Come and visit the garden between 2-4pm, enjoy a sip of lemonade and a cookie as you take in the beautiful and peaceful surroundings.

We are looking forward to our residents and friends of Our House enjoying the delightful space🤩
