The hot topic was NOACA or Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency.
Someone asked where all our (Geauga County) money went. I was curious so I looked it up on their site. Geauga ponied up $43,286 for 2024 alone. (There are numbers for the past ten years on the site as well) See it here:

This is where your money is going, Geauga County:
NOACA funds supported 16 construction projects in the five-county region, including
resurfacing, rehabilitation, reconstruction, replacement and repairs of 12 different roadways, 4 shared
use/bicycle/pedestrian projects and some traffic signal upgrades.
A number of Transportation for Livable Communities Initiative (TLCI) implementation projects were
awarded during the 2024 fiscal year, including:
β’ East 66th St. in Cleveland
β’ Taylor Road Corridor Project β Phase I β Cleveland Hts. & University Hts.
β’ Wayfinding Signage and Connectivity for Downtown & Surrounding Area β Elyria
β’ Fairview Park/Metroparks Connectivity β Phase III
β’ Grafton Envision Main Street Wayfinding and Trailhead Project
β’ Southgate Park Boulevard Improvement Project β Maple Heights
β’ Olmsted Township Greenway Connector Project β Phase I & II
Also, we are paying heavily to fund the Ohio public employees pension plan.πππ₯
