🚒🏆 HONORING WELLSVILLE’S CHAMPIONS 🏆🚒
One of the best parts of being a volunteer fire department is that not every time we roll out the door is for an emergency.
Sometimes, it’s for moments like this.
On Monday, members of the Wellsville Fire Department, Wellsville Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and local law enforcement will have the privilege of es**rting our Championship Baseball Team and Track Athletes through the Village of Wellsville.
These young men and women have dedicated countless hours to practices, competitions, training, and teamwork. They have represented our schools and community with pride, and their accomplishments deserve to be recognized.
We’ve heard a few people ask why we use the lights and sirens.
The answer is simple.
Championships don’t happen every day.
The lights and sirens aren’t for us. They’re for the athletes. They’re for the families who supported them. They’re for the coaches who dedicated their time. And they’re for a community that enjoys celebrating success together.
Besides, if we’re being honest, driving a fire truck quietly through town just doesn’t have the same effect.
We encourage everyone to come out, line the route, wave to the athletes, and help us show them how proud Wellsville is of their accomplishments.
Congratulations to all of our champions. We look forward to celebrating with you and your families.
