Congratulations to Wetzel-Tyler Health Department!

📍FUTURE SITE OF THE WETZEL TYLER HEALTH DEPARTMENT!

We are excited to share that the property for the future home of the Wetzel-Tyler Health Department is official!!

This marks a significant step forward in our commitment to serving our communities with a facility designed to meet the needs of today and the future. The new building will provide a more accessible, modern, and efficient space for the public health services our residents rely on every day.

While there is still work ahead, we are thrilled to see this long-awaited project moving from vision to reality. We look forward to sharing updates as construction progresses and celebrating each milestone with the community.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this journey. The future site is now officially ours, and we can’t wait to build what comes next!

FLOODING VACCINATIONS: TETANUS & HEPATITIS A (June 23, 2026)

Tdap (Tetanus vaccine) & Hepatitis A vaccinations (Hep A/Havrix) will be distributed. No registration is required, and the vaccine is FREE. The health department can be reached at (304) 234-3682 or (304) 830-0420.

LOCATION : Elm Terrace Shopping Center (June 23 – 12noon – 4pm)

Hep A is for those 19 years and older. This is a two-part vaccination that requires a follow-up visit at the health department in 6 months.

When thinking about a hike, ask yourself: “What’s my hiking experience?” Am I a grizzled trail veteran ready for anything, or is my idea of ‘hiking’ walking to the fridge during a Love Island binge? It’s okay. Maybe that mountain isn’t calling your name. It’s calling you something…but if you really want to soak in nature’s grandeur without questioning all your life choices, consider starting with an easier trail.
