The City of Wellsburg is taking applications for the position of water laborer. You must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid drivers license, and be at least 18 years of age. After you are trained you must be available to work shifts. Must pass class one test within 18 months of start. Vacation hours after one year. Health insurance option. Starting rate $18.27, raise at 6 months & 1 year.

Do you have a child who loves baseball or softball? This is an incredible opportunity to showcase their skills and potentially advance all the way to compete at PNC Park and even earn a chance to participate during the 2026 MLB World Series!

You do not have to be a member of any baseball or softball league to participate.

Wellsburg Water Department Notice – Hydrant Flushing

The Wellsburg Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants on June 2, June 3 and June 4 between the hours of 3:00 PM and 11:00 PM.

During this time, residents may experience temporary discoloration of water. We recommend avoiding washing white clothing or other light-colored laundry while flushing operations are taking place.

Please note that there is no designated day or time for specific streets or neighborhoods. Hydrant flushing will occur throughout the city at various times during the three-day period.
