🌱We are stepping back to our grassroots era and raising funds by having a good old fashioned bake sale. 🍪🍰
🗯Did you know that our agency started in the fall of 1984 when a group of volunteers joined together in acknowledgement of domestic violence being an issue in our community and they wanted to provide a network of support to help local victims of domestic violence? Our agency was so young that we didn't qualify for state/federal funding yet, so many dedicated volunteers raised money to help survivors by holding several BAKE SALES and quilt raffles (stay tuned! 😉).

Your boundaries matter. You have the right to say no, change your mind, and make choices without pressure.
The early weeks of the fall semester are often called the “Red Zone,” when college students face a higher risk of sexual assault.
Pressure can include guilt trips, threats, or repeatedly asking after someone has said no. Whether you’ve just met or have been together for years, you deserve to have your choices respected.
If something doesn’t feel right, you can talk to us. You don’t need to know exactly what to call your experience before reaching out. Please contact HAVEN of Tioga County at 1800-550-0447.

Everyone deserves to have their boundaries respected. Drinking never makes sexual violence your fault.

The start of the fall semester is often called the “Red Zone,” a time when college students face a higher risk of sexual assault.

Consent means everyone freely agrees to what’s happening and can change their mind at any time. Someone who is asleep, unconscious, or too impaired to understand what’s happening cannot consent.
