WREC members in WELLS: We will have a contractor using drones to patrol our lines WEST of the train tracks and SOUTH of Interstate-80 starting on Monday. These drone patrols are a huge help to our reliability as they allow us to identify potential failing equipment and other problems that we cannot see with the naked eye so that we can make repairs before they create outages. These drones will only be flying over our lines and equipment. If you have questions, please call (775) 752-3328.

Again, this only affects members in WELLS who live WEST of the railroad tracks or SOUTH of the interstate.

At the request of fire officials, Elko County and the City of Wells will close Metropolis Road to through traffic beginning August 27, 2026.

The closure will not affect local traffic, emergency vehicles, or ranch operations. The closure will restrict public access through Metropolis Road to the 12 Mile area.

Please avoid the area and allow fire personnel and equipment to operate safely.

**City of Wells Community**

The City of Wells has cleaned up Radar Hill in hopes of keeping the area clean. We strive to keep our BLM lands clean and do our part to help maintain a clean and beautiful community.

Please help us by not dumping garbage in areas that are not designated for trash disposal. Illegal dumping creates extra work for our community and takes away from the beauty of our public lands.

Our **Blue bin dump** is open during the following hours:

🗑️ **Wednesday** 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
🗑️ **Thursday-Sunday** 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

We would also like to give a big thank you to Elko Sanitation, and the BLM. Also, to Jason Pengelly, and Gary Po***ck for taking time out of their weekend to help get Radar cleaned up. We truly appreciate their hard work and dedication to keeping our community and public lands clean!

Residents on 4th and 5th Streets between Lake Avenue and Clover Avenue may experience temporary water service interruptions while Public Works works to repair a water issue in the area. Starting at 1 pm till possible 4pm.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while our Public Works team works to resolve the problem.
