To ensure reports are handled properly and documented accurately, we ask that all requests for police reports or service be made through dispatch rather than by calling or texting officers directly. Officers may be off duty, unavailable, or unable to gather all of the necessary information needed to start a report. Dispatchers are trained to ask the required questions, prioritize calls appropriately, and ensure information is entered correctly so officers can respond efficiently and safely. Calling dispatch helps us provide the best possible service to our community and ensures no important details are missed. You can reach dispatch at 509-258-4400 or 509-258-4569.

Also if you are needing to request a police report, requests can be emailed to the records department. Their email is [email protected]

During National Police Week, we proudly recognize and thank the dedicated men and women of our department who selflessly serve and protect our community each and every day. Their commitment goes far beyond the badge, as they continually step up to support residents, respond in times of crisis, and work tirelessly to keep our community safe. We extend our sincere appreciation to Chief Kieffer, Deputy Chief Shockley, Detective Wynecoop, Detective Flett, and Officers Communal, Wynecoop, Manke, Clark, Howard, Somers, Moreno, Carter, Arroyo, Ashley, and Braatz for their professionalism, courage, compassion, and unwavering dedication. Your willingness to go above and beyond does not go unnoticed, and we are truly grateful for the sacrifices you and your families make in service to others.

On Saturday, 5/9/26, a citizen called dispatch after seeing a suspicious vehicle on a neighbor's property south of Harrington. Deputies responded and contacted the vehicle and occupants near Harrington on SR 28. Two occupants, Andrew Martin 45 of Spokane, and Charlie Kieffer 40 of Fruitland, were arrested for probable cause of Burglary in the 2nd degree and booked into the LCSO jail. The vehicle was seized in relation to this case which remains an active investigation.

It should be noted that on 4/23/26 Deputies received reports of trespassing and theft of property in three separate cases north of Davenport off of SR 25. Deputies developed probable cause and served a search warrant in the Fruitland area related to these incidents. Stolen property in those cases was recovered, however; the same suspect, Andrew Martin, could not be located and charges on him were recently forwarded to the prosecutor for theft in the 3rd degree and criminal trespassing.

For those wondering, our post last week regarding the thefts and pursuit are unrelated. The suspect in those cases, Michael Stultz 44 of Colville, was arrested in Stevens County on an outstanding warrant and will face numerous criminal charges in Lincoln County once he is done there.

We have had a high level of success in charging those responsible for thefts in Lincoln County due to our watchful citizens and technology but continue to need your help. With prices of fuel (and just about everything else) being so high we unfortunately expect thefts to continue. Please remain vigilant and report anything suspicious to dispatch at 509-725-3501 (in an emergency 911). 🙏
