Wellington Humane Society Serving Sumner County The Wellington Humane Society believes in the value of humane attitudes towards all living creatures.

This page is open to posting lost and found pets, ads for rehoming, fostering or adoption of pets in Sumner County, as well as information regarding the Wellington Humane Society functions. Therefore, the Corporation is committed to being a no-kill organization that maintains a 90 percent save rate or higher. The Corporation will strive to reduce births of unwanted pets through spay/neutering and

working with the community to educate the public and find homes for animals in need. The Corporation will assist law enforcement in eliminating cruelty and neglect to animals as well as uphold laws and ordinances pertaining to animal welfare.

🐾🍃Our Pet of the Week is Ivy!🍃🐾

Ivy is a 4-year-old mixed breed weighing around 50 pounds. Her journey with us began when she arrived as part of an unwanted litter, weighing just 10 pounds. She was later adopted, but unfortunately, the placement wasn't the right fit, and she found herself back at the shelter.

Despite the ups and downs she's faced this past year, Ivy hasn't let it dull her bright spirit. She has blossomed into a sweet, affectionate girl with so much love to give. She enjoys the company of other dogs and would thrive in a home that can provide the time, patience, and love she deserves.🥰

Ivy has been waiting for her second chance at a forever family. Could that be with you? We know she would make a wonderful companion for someone willing to open their heart and home to her. Come meet Ivy and see why we've fallen in love with this special girl!

Stop in this week to meet this special dog! We are open Wednesday through Friday, 3-7 pm, and Saturday, 10 am-2 pm. If you are interested in adoption, please complete the online application before you come in to speed up the adoption process. We go in order of application received, so the sooner you get in your application, the better! And don’t forget, the Pet of the Week has a discounted adoption fee of $50 off dogs during their week!

☀️😎See what's going on this summer!

We have monthly committee meetings at our humane society to plan events and fundraisers every 2nd Monday of the month. These are open to the public and this is the perfect way to join in and volunteer your time and talents to help support our shelter! You can volunteer for one event, or help with several! It’s totally up to you and your schedule. We need volunteers for all sorts of tasks from working with the animals to helping plan events. We have lots of summer events coming up, so see where you could help us!

Our next meeting will be on Monday, June 8th at 6:00pm.

🛻❤️Snickers got to break out for a Doggy Day Out this weekend. He enjoys car rides, cuddles, and shopping! Surprisingly, he does NOT enjoy pupcups and turned his nose up to them. He and his sister Ginger are hanging out with us until someone takes them home! Will it be you??
