Most members should have their power restored this morning. The storms last night brought very heavy winds with them that caused outages and damage across our entire service area. Crews have been working throughout the night repairing downed power poles, clearing trees from power lines, and replacing equipment affected by lightning. We know outages of this length are difficult, and we appreciate your patience as crews continue working to safely restore service to the last remaining outages.

UPDATE 10:03 PM: We currently have over 800 members without power. We thank you for your patience as crews work their way to all of the outages.

We are aware of a very large outage for members on the Anson and Belle Plaine substations and a couple other outages scattered throughout our service area. Crews will be working to restore power as quickly and safely as they can.

Summer outages can happen, that's why it's important to make sure you and all your family members know where they store flashlights and batteries for situations such as these. #PowerOn

PEAK ALERTS have been issued for today (6/9) and tomorrow (6/10).

That’s your chance to save a little on your electric bill by shifting some habits during the hottest part of the day (3–6 PM). Here’s how:

1️⃣ Delay dishwashers & laundry to run overnight
2️⃣ Close blinds to block out that strong afternoon sun
3️⃣ Use fans to help cool down instead of cranking the A/C
4️⃣ Avoid running all your big appliances at once in the heat of the day
📲Want to see your savings in real time? Download the SmartHub app and track your daily usage — even by temperature!
