We are here today at the Wellesley Education Foundation Chair Ceremony — a beautiful tradition honoring Wellesley Public Schools staff members who have dedicated 25 years of service to our schools and community. 🍎✨

Hosted in partnership with WEF, Wellesley College, and the Wellesley School Committee, the ceremony celebrates these incredible educators and staff with captain’s chairs embossed with the Town of Wellesley seal, along with heartfelt speeches, skits, poems, and tributes from colleagues and friends.

We are so grateful for the passion, dedication, and lasting impact these educators have had on generations of Wellesley students. Congratulations to all of today’s honorees! 💛📚

Meet Jen—our Wellesley Education Foundation Boston Marathon runner! 🏃‍♀️

Here is Jen back in time as a Wellesley High School student, competing on the track in this special throwback photo 📸. The same determination, spirit, and pride she had then… she carries with her today.

Now, years later, Jen is lacing up once again—this time running the Boston Marathon in support of WEF and the Wellesley Public Schools that meant so much to her growing up… and now mean just as much to her children. 💫

For Jen, running the Boston Marathon is deeply personal. As a graduate of Wellesley Public Schools and now a parent of WPS students, she’s running to give back to the schools and community that mean so much to her family.

The Wellesley Education Foundation helps bring innovative programs, inspiring opportunities, and enriching experiences to our classrooms — and Jen is putting in the miles to support that mission.
