We wanted to give an update on this years signups and registration for the Weirton City Urban Bowhunt. We had 214 registered adult hunters. Bringing in $4280
We also had 11 youth hunters (under 18 yrs old) which we do NOT charge to register!
So a total of 225 registered hunters.
Yesterday we presented 4 checks of $1000 each to, Community Bread Basket,
Salvation Army, Greater Weirton Senior Center, and Hancock County Schools, earmarked for their Archery in the Schools Program.
We also want to thank Change Inc. for helping to pay for the butchering of deer in the local Hunters Feed the Hungry program. Because of their help, we are able to donate nearly everything we brought in.
Officials with the Weirton Urban Bowhunters Association, on Thursday, presented contributions toward four local organizations, with funds derived through the fees paid to participate in Weirton’s annual controlled bow hunt.
