Is anything going to be done with WV foster care children and placing them with family. What happened to in the best interest of the child? Our children can't wait years for a plan they need top priority and a right now solution. The children are committing su***de, they need their family.

My name is Theresa live in Weirton WV. I'm the grandmother of Peyton was removed from her mother for numerous reasons. My 11 year old granddaughter has had many open cases of abuse and neglect. There was numerous calls by neighbors and myself.
The state finally stepped in and removed her from the mother but placement is foster care. I have her half sister since birth that's 16 now.
I had Peyton temporary and the case worker messaged up and also I was mistaken a court date and missed it. I was told a different day.
They placed her into foster care and I've talked to Hancock county supervisor and her worker left several messages on asking for her return and doing our home study. I can't get a response back.
We have a close bond with peyton and her sister and I just want her in our home before the holidays. I'm ready to call a lawyer to help and see what rules was broken and why I'm being discriminated against by WV Hancock county CPS.

I think I'm gonna need a lawyer just don't know how to afford one. Legal aid will be on the wrong side of my tracks.

I'm having some issues with WV CPS now over my youngest granddaughter. She was removed from her mother and put into foster care and won't let me keep her even though I have her half sister since birth she's 16 now. State hasn't done a home study or anything just denied me . CPS was called 20 times in my granddaughter's life and she's 11 years old now. That's West Virginia. I'm also in the same town as Keegan. I need some advice from someone that knows something about the situation I'm in to help me know where to start the fight to bring my granddaughter home
