We are a group of Weehawken women gathering in the spirit of unity, mourning and hope.
We welcome EVERYONE to join us, including police and local officials, to stand with us in silence.
There will be no speech-making.
We ask participants to keep the space safe for children.
Line up along Boulevard East at 5PM, socially distanced at six feet apart, wearing a mask.
Wear black, if you can.
Bring your own sign with messages of solidarity, unity, and acknowledgment of the death of George Floyd and the countless others before him.
Participants may take a knee, as a symbol of dissent, and echoing the violence inflicted on George Floyd.
The Weehawken Administration and Weehawken Police Department have been notified and support this action.
