Help Shape the Future of Weddington Town Hall Park
The Town of Weddington is exploring improvements to the community open space adjacent to Town Hall, with the goal of creating a welcoming and safe park that serves as an extension of the Town's identity and hospitality. We envision the park as Weddington’s “living room”, a central gathering place where residents, families, and visitors can connect, celebrate, and enjoy Weddington throughout the year.

We invite residents, businesses, community organizations, and park users to participate in an Open House Visioning Session and share their ideas, priorities, and recommendations for the park's potential enhancements. Your input will help guide design ideas and inform future decisions as we work together to create a park that serves our community for generations to come.

Even If you can only attend the open house for a short while, we invite you to stop by and give us your input. If you are unable to attend the Open House at all, we encourage you to submit your feedback by emailing [email protected].

All comments received, whether shared in person or online, will be reviewed and considered as part of the planning process to ensure the park's future reflects the community's needs and aspirations.

Union County has moved to Stage 2 of the Water Shortage Response Plan. Please read how to implement that in the post shared below.

Important Update: Union County is moving to Stage 2 of our Water Shortage Response Plan, effective today. We haven’t been in Stage 2 since 2009.

What does this mean for Union County Water customers?

💧Irrigation use is now limited to no more than two days per week and certain hours. Customers who use spray irrigation systems need to adjust their system schedules and follow the guidance at https://ucgov.info/4nygw9S.

🚗 No personal car washing, except at commercial car washes.

🛟 No filling of new pools or fountains, except to support aquatic life.

Stage 2 also implements higher rates for certain customers, including residential customers with significantly high usage of 10,000 gallons per month or more. To reduce overall water consumption, we’re asking everyone to conserve water when possible. Take shorter showers, fix leaky fixtures quickly, and reduce outdoor water usage – especially after a rare rainy day.
