Congratulations to Bryon, Craig, and Lindsey from the Barre Town Department of Public Works Water Division for being recognized by the Vermont Rural Water Association with the 2026 Best Tasting Water award for the Websterville Water System.

This is a tremendous accomplishment and a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and pride they put into the art and science of producing safe, high-quality drinking water for our community every single day.

We could not be more proud of the work they do, and personally, this is a very proud dad moment. Their commitment and attention to detail are clearly paying off, and it is great to see them receive the recognition they so well deserve.

To make it even better, they were only one vote away from taking home the overall Best Tasting Water award. And while they narrowly missed the top overall spot, Bryon did bring home the award for Best Mustache.

Please join us in congratulating Bryon, Craig, and Lindsey on this outstanding achievement and for representing Barre Town so well.

Snow squalls have been playing peek‑a‑boo with us all day—one minute it’s clear, the next it’s a white‑out worthy of a snow globe shake.

But don’t fear, Public Works is here! 💪 Our crews are out scraping, salting, and making sure your afternoon commute isn’t an Olympic sport.

Think of us as the unsung superheroes of winter: capes replaced with Carhartts, and our superpower is turning slippery roads into safe ones. 🦸‍♂️🛻

👉 Until the roads are fully clear, please keep those speeds safe and steady. We’ll handle the scraping—you handle the slowing.

So buckle up, drive smart, and give a wave if you see us—because while the squalls keep sneaking in, we’ll keep scraping them out.

Barre Town: 1, Snow Squalls: 0.
