401st Civil Affairs Battalion The official page of the 401st Civil Affairs Battalion. Officially deactivated in 2022. These units have been merged to form one solid unit.

The 401st Civil Affairs Battalion is located in both Webster NY and Tonawanda NY. It is a combination of two proud Battalions, the 401st, and the 402nd. These units have deployed to Africa, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan Bosnia, Uzbekistan and many of the Soldiers have been to other countries in support of dozens of missions.

in 1880, Gen. Douglas MacArthur was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. MacArthur graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 1903 and went on to serve as Superintendent of USMA from 1919-1922, Chief of Staff of the United States Army from 1930-1935, Supreme Commander of the Pacific from 1941-1945 and Supreme Commander, UN Forces Korea from 1950-1951.

While following CDC and state Covid procedures, the U.S. Army Reserve maintains its unit readiness!

Soldiers of the 401st Civil Affairs Battalion prepare for its Annual Training at Fort Riley and Ft. Drum this week. The 401st will support 1st Infantry Division for War Fighter Exercise (WFX) 21-3 to increase tactical proficiencies.

The Battalion will focus on conducting civil-military operations, civil-military management, and coordinate population control operations.

🚨‼️Check out our latest Soldier Spotlight‼️🚨

Sergeant Emily Haverty - 38B Civil Affairs Specialist

Newly promoted SGT Haverty joined the Army Reserve in 2017 out of Webster, NY. She then attended Basic Training at Fort Jackson, SC and moved on to complete Advanced Individual Training at Fort Bragg, NC. Haverty also holds a Bachelors Degree in Social Work. Her short term goals are to continue to hone her CA skills and learn how to lead Soldiers. Her long term goals are to explore all the Reserve has to offer and continue her electrical apprenticeship to become a master electrician.
