We’ve always had great children’s events. But before our renovation and addition in 2012 reclaimed our meeting room, we cleared out the main reading area for presentation space. This photo was taken in 1992 of Emmy Award winning storyteller Bobby Norfolk. Bobby has performed at our Library over a dozen times since 1992, most recently on May 30, 2026. See those photos in the comments.

Wild Heart - Wildlife Gone Under Sing Along

Let’s go “down under” to unearth Missouri critters that call the underworld their home! Explore this underground wild world together with WildHeart! Come along on a musical adventure discovering the way Missouri’s underground wildlife adapt to life beneath the surface. How strong is a groundhog and how long is his puzzling tunnel? What’s up with those bats hanging upside down by their toenails? Is there such a thing as a crayfish frog using a tunnel like a funnel to make his call go far and wide? Join WildHeart as we sing along to original nature tunes and discover together!

The Library will be closed on Friday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth.
