We hate having to make posts like this, but unfortunately it has become necessary.

Last year, Tweedle Park purchased a beautiful wooden glider swing for everyone in the community to enjoy. Since then, we have already had to go back 7 different times in the last 3 months to place it back onto its track because it continues to be forced off. This does not happen accidentally — it takes a significant amount of force to push this very heavy double glider with attached table off its track.

Because of the repeated abuse, cameras will now need to be installed on that end of the park. If this behavior continues, we may be forced to remove the glider permanently before it becomes completely broken.

Please understand that Tweedle Park is maintained by volunteers and community support. We work hard to provide nice things for families, children, and visitors to enjoy. It is extremely discouraging when items are intentionally damaged.

If we discover who is responsible, vandalism charges will be filed.

We kindly ask everyone to help us respect and protect our park so it can continue to be enjoyed by the entire community for years to come.
