Following his service in the army, a local country singer and Freeland Pennsylvania native has a lot to sing about lately.

Looking back on this past week I think my highlight of the week was Thursday.....members of the Weatherly Area Community Library did their very first Book Crawl!!!! Similar to a Pub Crawl but instead of Pubs we had our current books we are reading and visited 3 local coffee shops!!!! The first on our list was No. 3 Cafe in Nesquehoning.....it's right on the main street and they made us feel so very welcome.....table was set up and decorated for us. Bookmarks were available on the table and individual takeout coffee cups. We felt so welcomed!!! Coffee was outstanding and some of us had pumpkin roll and some had French toast. The service was great! Our next stop was Perch between Jim Thorpe and Lehighton. Formerly Big Chief. Some had bagels there and we bought fresh bagels to take home! Coffee and drinks were enjoyed and a bit of chatting not much reading!!! Our third stop was Hug In A Mug in Weissport. They have some great sandwiches and delicious coffees and drinks. It was very comfortable and we enjoyed a little brunch there....bagel sandwiches, avocado toast and paninis. After our coffee shop stops the last stop was a bookstore in Lehighton called One More Chapter.......we felt like we hit the jackpot there!!!! Found some books we have been looking for and I believe each of us walked out with one book or a bag full of books LOL!!!!!We talked about doing Book Crawls again and visiting some different locations.....the WACL meets every 4th Thursday of the month from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Library. (Month of November 3rd Thursday because of Thanksgiving). You are invited to join the Book Club....no membership fees or dues and the only expectation from you is your love of reading, sharing in conversations, discussing books and relaxation 📚. Any questions may be directed to me via comments on this post, my cellphone 570 657 5254 or contact any member of the WACL for more information 😀
