While they may not be bringing home any hardware this year, we're still proud of our officers for representing Weatherford PD at the Texas Police Games Fishing Tournament!

What many people don't realize is that these competitions happen on our officers' own time and at their own expense. They participate because they enjoy the challenge, the camaraderie, and the opportunity to represent their department.

The fish may have gotten the better of them this year, but we have a feeling they'll be more than willing to put in some extra "practice" on the water before next year's tournament rolls around.

Better luck next year. We're rooting for that trophy!🎣

Cool off with the help of WPD!

Join the Weatherford Police for the first Chill with WPD event of the summer on Wednesday, June 10, from 1 to 2 PM at Cherry Park.

Kids can enjoy free shaved ice from Funky Munky, play games, and spend time getting to know the friendly faces behind the badge.

Bring the family, grab a snow cone, and come hang out with WPD for an afternoon of summer fun and community connection!

6:30 PM UPDATE: Water testing is underway but this does take time. Continue boiling water through the evening. We hope to have an update midday tomorrow (Tuesday).

4:50 PM UPDATE: The Boil Water Notice for customers in the Miller Pressure Plane remains in effect.

Water testing is underway, but this process can take time. Customers in the affected area should continue boiling water used for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, washing hands/face, making ice, and other consumption-related purposes until the City announces the notice has been lifted.

🚨 CITY OF WEATHERFORD URGENT ALERT 🚨

Water service has been restored following a water main line issue; however, due to reduced pressure in the system, a Boil Water Notice is in affect for customers in the Miller Pressure Plane (see map).

Customers should boil all water used for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, washing hands/face, making ice, and other consumption-related purposes until further notice.

The City will notify customers when the boil water notice has been lifted.

Join us for our first Chill with WPD - Free Funky Munky at Cherry Park of the summer on Wednesday, June 10, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Cherry Park.

Thanks to our friends at Funky Munky Shaved Ice Weatherford kids can enjoy a FREE snow cone while hanging out with Weatherford Police Officers. We'll have games, plenty of smiles, and a chance to get to know the people behind the badge.

Bring the kids, bring a friend, and come chill with us!

Crews are currently working to repair a water main break affecting water pressure in parts of the city.

While our team works as quickly and safely as possible to make repairs, we are asking all residents to please conserve water until further notice.

Simple ways to help:
✅ Avoid running dishwashers or washing machines
✅ Limit showers to essential use
✅ Hold off on outdoor watering

Your cooperation makes a big difference and helps reduce demand on the water system while repairs are underway. We will post an update as soon as repairs are complete.

Our annual Rodeo Parade is rolling through town this evening, and we're looking forward to seeing Main Street filled with horses, wagons, riders, and plenty of hometown pride.

The parade will begin at the Ninth Grade Center, travel north on Main Street, circle the Courthouse, and return south on South Waco Street. To safely accommodate the parade route, Main Street, South Waco Street, and the streets in between will be closed beginning at approximately 6:15 PM. Roadways are expected to reopen about an hour later once the parade has concluded.

There's just something about hearing horses clop down our roadways that takes us back to Weatherford's Wild West roots. We hope you'll come out and enjoy the tradition!

If you don't want to get stuck in the wild traffic delay, we recommend taking Santa Fe Drive as an alternate route.

We'll see you at the parade! 🐎

Road is now open!!

🚓🚨Just a heads up for those traveling through town right now. North and South bound lanes at 1800 S. Bowie are temporarily closed while crews work on a gas leak. (Between Dirkson Street and Clairemont Blvd). This may affect travel to and from the Interstate, so seek alternate route if possible.🚨🚓
