Book Fair Art Contest: Design the Ultimate Library!

What would your DREAM library look like? Would it be an underwater adventure where fish and sharks read books, an outer space library where aliens and astronauts float around the moon with their favorite stories, or something totally different? The possibilities are endless!

Curtis students, you are invited to draw your very own ultimate library, whether it's realistic or fantastical, for our Book Fair Art Contest. Let your imagination run wild!

Here's the catch: Artists must do all the work entirely on their own, with no help from anyone else. We want to see YOUR creativity and YOUR ideas!

Two winners will be chosen from each grade level, and the winners will get to choose a free book from the Book Fair! Entries are due to the library by Friday, November 6.

The Book Fair is almost here, and we need some amazing volunteers to help make it a HUGE success! Whether you can give an hour or several, every bit of help makes a difference—and we have a little extra incentive for you! 😉

For every hour you volunteer, your child’s name will receive an entry into a drawing for $50 in FREE BOOKS from the Book Fair! The drawing is exclusive to volunteer families, so the more hours you serve, the more chances your family has to win! Here are the times you can serve:

📦 BOOK FAIR SETUP — Wednesday, November 4, starting at 9:15 a.m.
Help us transform the space into a book lover’s dream! Setup is a BIG job, but it’s always a fun time working together. Volunteers who help with setup will earn DOUBLE drawing entries for every hour served!

📚 BOOK FAIR WEEK — November 9–13
We need volunteers each day to help students shop during their Specials times. Come help our students find their next favorite book!

🎉 FAMILY NIGHT — Tuesday, November 10, from 5:00–7:00 p.m.
This special evening takes plenty of helping hands to run smoothly! Volunteers will earn DOUBLE drawing entries for every hour served during Family Night, too!

Our Book Fair brings so much excitement and a love of reading to our students, and we couldn’t do it without our wonderful families and volunteers. We're not LION when we say we have the cutest therapy dogs at Curtis! Lindy and Lacy stopped by the library today in full costume to check out the tents and love on some kids. It has been a great day to be a Curtis Roo!
