This afternoon just after 3:30 p.m. Weare Fire and Ambulance were dispatched for a motor vehicle rollover in front of the safety complex at 144 North Stark Hwy. Weare Ambulance 2 and Engine 5 responded and upon arrival found a single vehicle on its roof.
It was reported that the vehicle exited the roadway, collided with a tree resulting in the rollover. A single occupant was found inside conscious, alert and talking. The crew worked on extricating the single occupant and eventually transporting the individual to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The scene was cleared at approximately 4:30 p.m.

Yesterday evening just before 9:30 p.m. Weare Fire and ambulance were called to Scott Ave for a report of an ATV accident unknown injury.

Weare Ambulance 2 and Rescue 1 responded and upon the ambulance’s arrival, a female patient was found to be lying in the middle of the road, alert and oriented. It was reported that the sole occupant of the ATV collided with a mailbox causing the individual to get ejected from the ATV causing non-life threatening injuries.

Crews remained on scene for just over 15 minutes and the individual was later transported to the hospital by ambulance to be evaluated.

Tree and wires down on Quaker st in the area of #80 road closed to thru traffic. Eversource has been noticed and has a half hour ETA.

***TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE***
Date: August 7, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM – approximately 1:00 PM

Please be advised that Mount Dearborn Road in the vicinity of #57, adjacent to Hadley Cemetery, will be temporarily closed on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 9:00 AM until approximately 1:00 PM.
The closure is necessary to allow crews to safely remove several trees within the cemetery. This work requires heavy equipment and is being done to improve public safety.

Please note:
• No through traffic will be permitted during the closure.
• Local access will be maintained whenever safely possible.
• Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and allow additional travel time.
• Emergency vehicles will be accommodated as conditions permit.

Weare Fire and Rescue were able to have PAGNE (propane and gas association of New England) come and help us train on gas emergencies. A good night and a great refresher for all staff.

The Weare Fire Department was pleased to assist Weare Police with their CPR recertification. This effort was collaborative and able to be obtained without additional cost to an outside agency. The teamwork training together only makes our response to a cardiac arrest stronger and more efficient. 🚑🚒🚓🚓
