☀️ Summer is the perfect time to build confidence, learn new skills, and feel more empowered! 💪💜

Did you know girls ages 12+ are welcome to participate in our upcoming R.A.D. Women’s Self-Defense Course?

This is a great summer opportunity for middle and high school girls to learn awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and hands-on self-defense skills in a supportive environment alongside women in our community. 💜

👟 Girls ages 12–15 must attend with an adult woman participant (mom, grandmother, aunt, mentor, family friend, etc.)
✨ Ages 16–17 may attend independently

📍 Waynesville Police Department
📅 July 11 & 12, 2026
⏰ 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM both days
🍴 Lunch provided both days
💲 $25 (scholarships available!)

Participants must attend both days to complete the course.

REACH of Haywood County is partnering with the Waynesville Police Department to offer a two-day R.A.D. (R**e Aggression Defense) course focused on awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and hands-on self-defense skills in a supportive environment for women.

Ever thought about taking a self-defense class?

Join REACH of Haywood County for our upcoming RAD Women’s Self-Defense Course this April. No prior experience is needed, and women of all skill levels are welcome. The course teaches practical skills in awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and hands-on defense techniques in a supportive, respectful environment.
