Near the Waynesville Fire Department and the Pulaski County Ambulance District under the water tower. Adoption Fees: Ranging from $110-$200. All dogs come spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. Sol ☀️

After two months of waiting at the shelter, Sol is desperately looking for her forever home! 🏡

Sol is a 9 Month Old Black Mouth Cur Mix

Sol is a very high energy girl! She loves to run, jump and play! She could run laps all day long! 🏃

Sol also loves the water!! 💦 River trips are the highlight of her experience! She would definitely love a lake day! 🛥️

Sol picks her friends for sure! 🐶 Some dogs she loves and some dogs she does not. Sol can be a bit of a tough player! So she definitely needs someone who can match her energy level! ⚡️

Sol is potty trained! She does really well using her outdoor run overnight if she needs to use the bathroom. Her kennel tends to be pretty clean! 🧼

Sol knows a lot of commands! She definitely thrives on structure that works her brain! She is so intelligent, she just needs the correct outlets that utilize her intelligence! 🧠

Sol is still a puppy with all the manners that comes with a puppy! She is learning her boundaries every day! It’s hard to remember her age since she is quite a large breed girl!

Due to her size and playful personality, we do recommend a household with older children for Sol. She does not mean harm but her size can be quite overpowering!

Sol has been spayed, microchipped and dewormed! She is current in her vaccines and is heartworm negative!

Sol is available for a 10 day trial! During the trial, you can take her home and ensure she fits your lifestyle!

With Sol being with us for so long, a kind hearted human has sponsored her adoption fee! 🫶

August is an 8 Month Old Labrador Retriever Mix 🐶

August is so sweet and so lovely!! She wants to be as close to her person as possible!! 😍

August gets along well with other dogs! Though our shelter does require a meet and greet if you have dogs in the house, to ensure everyone gets along! 🏡

August is potty trained and walks well on lead as well! ⭐️

August is current on her vaccines and has received her flea and tick topical! She has been dewormed and microchipped. 🫶

‼️ August is due to be spayed on Monday! After that, she will be available for a trial home!

Purple is definitely the life of the party!! 🎉 She only knows fun!!! 🤩

Purple is a super excitable gal who LOVES to get the zoomies!! She could run in circle until she couldn’t see straight! 😅

Purple does well with other dogs! She can be a bit shy at first but does warm up! She plays just like you could imagine a Boxer playing! 🥊

Due to her age, Purple will need assistance with her potty training and basic obedience! Purple will need a patience home while she figures out that outside time isn’t always playtime! 🍁

Purple is current on her vaccines! She has been microchipped and dewormed. Purple is due to be spayed today! Then will be available for a trial! 🫶

Teal is an 8 Month Old Boxer 🐶

This boy is as Boxer as they come!! He is so silly and so goofy!! 🤪

Teal loves to play!! Running around in our play yard is his favorite thing to do!! Teal could probably play fetch for hours! 🎾

Due to his age, Teal will need help with his potty training and basic obedience! Teal will need a home who will have patience with him as he understands that outside time isn’t always play time! 🍁

Teal does well with other dogs! Though sometimes he can be shy at first! If you do have dogs in the home, our shelter would require a meet and greet to ensure everyone gets along! 🏠

Teal has been neutered, microchipped and dewormed. Teal is current on his vaccines as well! 🫶

💔🐾 SIMON HAS BEEN HERE THE LONGEST… AND HE’S READY TO GO HOME. 🐾💔
Some dogs handle shelter life better than others, and for Simon, it’s getting harder and harder. 😔
Simon is a 1-year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix weighing about 48 pounds. He is currently our longest resident, and we would LOVE nothing more than to finally see him walk out those doors with a family of his own. 🏡❤️

Simon would do best in a home where someone is home often and he doesn’t have to spend long periods of time crated. After spending so much time in a kennel, this boy is craving what every shelter dog wants — freedom, companionship, and a place where he finally belongs. 🥺
He needs someone who can give him time, patience, exercise, and plenty of love. In return, you’ll get a young dog who just wants the chance to be part of a family. ❤️🐾

Kane is a handsome 2-year-old black and tan Shepherd mix weighing around 50 pounds, and this sweet boy is ready to get OUT of the shelter and into a home! 🏡🐾
Kane is a high-energy guy who is really struggling with shelter life. 😔 Being stuck in a kennel is hard when all you want to do is run, play, explore, and be with people!

Marley is a 1 Year Old Golden Retriever/Poodle Mix 🐶

Marley is such a well mannered gal! She loves to be with her people but also enjoys her alone time playing with her toys! 🧸

Marley does well with her potty training and knows some of her basic commands! 🦴

Marley unfortunately has an extremely sensitive stomach to kibble food! She seems to only do well on fresh dog food! Without the fresh dog food, she has extremely bad diarrhea! 😩

Marley does well with other dogs! Though our shelter would require a meet and greet if there are other dogs inside the household! 🏡

Marley has been spayed! She is current on her vaccines and his microchip! Marley has also received her flea and tick medicine!

We are running low on goodies to fill our Kongs, and our shelter dogs LOVE their enrichment time! ❤️ Kongs give them something fun to work on, keep their minds busy, and make their days at the shelter a little more enjoyable while they wait for their forever homes. 🐶

🥜 We could really use donations of:
• Peanut butter — please make sure it is xylitol-free
• Plain canned pumpkin — no spices
• Plain yogurt
• Kongs of all sizes
• Other dog-safe goodies that can be used for enrichment

Every donation, big or small, helps us keep tails wagging! 🐕💕 You can drop donations off at the Waynesville Animal Shelter during our regular business hours.

Teal is an 8 Month Old Boxer 🐶

Teal is your typical Boxer! He is so wiggly!! When he is excited, which is all the time, his butt touched his nose, he’s so turned in! 🤣

Teal can be quite shy at first! He is happy to meet new people but needs a moment first to warm up! Once comfortable, he just wiggles and wants to be loved on! 🤗

Teal is unsure of the leash. Once he gets walking, he walks pretty well! He is definitely learning to walk with all four paws on the ground! 😬😅

Due to his age, Teal will need assistance with his potty training and basic obediences! He wants to learn, his mind is just going a mile a minute! ⏰

Teal has been neutered, microchipped and dewormed. He has received his vaccines as well! 🍁
