There is no formal meeting for the Loop Group tonight (Tuesday, September 8th, 2026). If you would still like to come in with your friends and use the Ohioana room for a quiet place to knit or crochet, please come on down!

Monday:
Library Closed (Labor Day)

Tuesday:
Registration for Art class for Kids begins, Toddler Time at 10:30am, Teen Tuesday Program at 3pm (6th - 12th grade), Chapters Book Club (1st and 2nd grade) at 4pm (registration closed).

Wednesday:
Baby Bookworms at 10:30am, Teen Dungeons and Dragons at 3pm (6th- 12 grade), registration required.

Thursday:
Preschool Storytime at 10:30am

Friday:
Library Open, 9am - 5pm

Saturday:
Library Open, 10am - 2pm

Progress is being made every day on the Library Park project!

We at the Mary L. Cook Library are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of previous MLC staff member, Shirley Sara. Miss Shirley was dedicated to her work at the library for 35 years and was an integral component of its ongoing development. She inspired those around her with her strong work ethic, which was evident by her waiting to retire until the year she turned 90. Though she spent most of her working time at her desk in the early hours of the morning, her presence has been missed by her colleagues since her retirement. The staff at Mary L. Cook Library send our sympathies to the family and friends of Shirley Sara, an incredible woman.

Registration for Art Class for Kids begins on Tuesday, September 8th.

Monday, September 21st, join us to make sunflower art inspired by the artist Vincent Van Gogh.

Grades K-5, 4:15-5pm. All materials will be supplied. This class is a collaboration with the Waynesville Arts Council.
