For the FOURTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR, Burke County Public Schools’ District Teacher of the Year has come from Waynesboro Primary School!

Last night, we had the privilege of celebrating some of the very best in Burke County Public Schools—our 2027 Teachers of the Year and Support Staff of the Year! 🎉👏

These incredible educators and employees give their time, talent, heart, and countless hours to make a difference for our students every single day. We are so proud to recognize them and celebrate the impact they make across Bear Nation! 🐻💙

The Burke County Public School System, Waynesboro, Georgia is incredibly proud to celebrate Stan Dodson, Burke County High School Art Teacher, on being named a 2027 State Art Education Award Winner by the Georgia Art Education Association!🏆

While this incredible honor recognizes his talent and dedication as an art educator, those who know Mr. Dodson know that his greatest gift is his heart for his students. ❤️ He believes in them, encourages them, celebrates their creativity, and makes a lasting impact far beyond the classroom.
