Earlier this year, Waynesboro EMS, alongside our partners at Wellspan EMS, Waynesboro Fire Department and Waynesboro Police Department, were dispatched by Franklin County Department of Emergency Servicesto a reported cardiac arrest.
Through teamwork, quick action, and coordinated care from all responding agencies, the patient was successfully transported to a local hospital and has since been released home.
Last evening, Waynesboro Borough Mayor Royer honored those involved with proclamations recognizing the extraordinary efforts that helped save a life. The evening also provided crews with the special opportunity to reunite with the patient.
We are especially proud of Staff EMT Timothy Willard and Captain Olivia Chappell for their professionalism, dedication, and commitment to serving our community.
