I, James (Tom) Burford, am announcing my candidacy for Constable Post 1 Wayne County. I am 52 years old and was born and raised in Wayne County. I have lived here my whole life where I worked and raised my children.
I began my law enforcement career with the Stateline Police Department in 2015. I accepted the position of County Patrol and 911 Addressing for Wayne County in 2021. I currently serve in both capacities.
Serving and helping the citizens has been a rewarding experience for me. I see the importance in having a common sense approach and a humble attitude in law enforcement today.

I am humbly requesting your support and ask that you allow me to be YOUR next Constable of Post 1 Wayne County by voting for me, James (Tom) Burford.
