Town of Wayne, NY History Group We are a history group in the Town of Wayne, New York, Steuben County. The historian is appointed by the Town Supervisor and approved by the Town Board.

The Town of Wayne History Group, authorized by the Town of Wayne Board, is a repository of Town history and archives. The repository, located in the Wayne Town Hall, is a cooperative and reciprocal effort with the Steuben County Historical Society, Dundee Area Historical Society and other local historical societies to preserve the rich heritage of the Town of Wayne for future generations. The mission of the Town of Wayne History Group is to preserve and protect historical documents, artifacts, and other resources pertaining to the Town of Wayne and neighboring areas that were once a part of the Town; for example, the Village of Wayne.
