Meet Kawther…….

My friend in the squad who has been a member for quite some time inspired me to join. She showcased to me the impact that the First Aid Squad has on the Wayne community and this pushed me to pursue the opportunity to serve others through EMS.

The most rewarding part of being in this squad is the diversity among the members. Working alongside people from different backgrounds demonstrates the common commitment we all have in serving our community.

Outside of the squad I like to bake, go on long drives, hang out with friends, and go to the movies.

Meet Giuliani…..
I joined because I wanted to be more involved with my community through volunteering. I’ve always wanted to help people and work in the medical field. Joining the squad has given me the opportunity to not only gain experience with patient care but also help me give back to the community!

Being able to respond to calls where people are having the worst day on their lives and knowing we are there to help them. It is rewarding knowing I am helping make a difference in the community.

Outside of the squad I enjoy going to the gym, spending time with friends and family, and going to the beach!

Meet Luis……

I joined the squad because I saw there was a need for new members, and I’ve always had an interest in EMS. I thought it would be a great way to give back to the community and learn a new skill.

Besides the automatic second family you get when you join the squad and all the memories along the way, I would say it's learning skills that can actually help others when they need it.
Outside of the squad I enjoy
Hanging out with my wife and chasing two toddlers, trying new coffee shops, traveling, and trying new food places.

Meet Todd…….

When I was living in whiting, my parents suggested to join the first aid squad, so I did. When I moved to Little Falls, I was working at BAE in Wayne and they needed help from a squad member. So I joined the Wayne squad.

I enjoy working with the people on the squad and helping the people in the town..

In my spare time i like fixing computers and going on hikes and trying new foods.

Meet Kalyani……

I am an EMT on the Wayne Township Memorial First Aid Squad.

I was inspired to join the squad as a 16 year old by my friends’ parents who were already on the squad. I saw how they were able to help our community. I wanted to use my free time to volunteer in an impactful manner and help the people around me.

The most rewarding part of being an EMT on the squad is being able to help someone feel safe during one of their worst moments. I am thankful to have learned so much from wonderful mentors and have been able to surround myself with incredible friends who share the desire to help others.

Outside of being an EMT, I enjoy Bollywood dancing, playing piano, hiking, and cooking.

As we marched through town, we remembered the heroes who gave everything for our freedom and reflected on the importance of service, sacrifice, and community.

Our members spent time today cleaning and prepping our equipment for the Memorial Day Parade. From shining up the rigs to making sure everything looks its best, we’re proud to represent our squad and community as we honor the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Nothing says EMS Week fuel quite like fresh crepes! 🥞💙

A huge thank you to our Sunshine Committee for treating our members to amazing crepe’s. It was the perfect way to show appreciation for the hard work and dedication our squad gives every day.

We also loved seeing some of our medics stop by to grab a crepe, catch up, and enjoy a few laughs together between calls. It’s moments like these that remind us our squad is more than a team — it’s a family.

Happy EMS Week to all of our members, medics, and volunteers who continue to serve our community with compassion, professionalism, and heart! đźš‘đź’›
