Wayne Youth Services offers homework help sessions for FREE, for any Wayne Westland student at three locations, to help your student meet their goals.

Today was another successful Teen Mental Health Workshop: Let's Talk About It; Gratitude. Youth spent time discussing gratitude and the science of positive psychology. Clients then made fleece blankets to be donated to the Wayne Police Department.

It's Tuesday which means our staff have a tip to share. According to the APA, "Teens report that their stress level during the school year far exceeds what they believe to be healthy. 31% of teens report feeling overwhelmed and 30% report feeling depressed or sad as a result of stress. Nearly half of teens report they are not doing enough or are not sure if they are doing enough to manage their stress and 1 in 10 say they never set aside time to manage stress."

Tonight we went to celebrate all the students of WMHS who worked hard to reach their Champions goal for second semester. A special congrats to our five mentees who made it!! Watching the kids walk across the stage with their smiles of excitement receiving their $200 check is priceless!!!
