Let's take a moment for this to recognize and introduce the fabulous Ms. Erin!

Erin started working for the City of Wayne over twenty years ago in the Department of Parks and Rec. She started in maintenance at the REC two days after graduating from Wayne Memorial. Erin continued her employment with the city, while earning her degree from EMU in Social Work. Erin transitioned to the Youth Department during her internship and has been serving youth and families of Wayne ever since!

Here are some fun and interesting facts you may not know about the ever elusive Erin.
-Erin played the flute for four years at both Franklin Middle and Wayne Memorial High Schools.
-Erin has performed or participated in over twenty-one theater performances at Franklin Middle, Wayne Memorial, and Stage IV.
-Erin's original college plan was to become a school teacher.
-Erin enjoys snorkeling and the beach.

Today you're most likely to find her on the sidelines cheering on her baby comet at football or watching her oldest break boards during karate.

WYS was so excited to partner with Adams Eagles Page again for the 26-27 School Year.
We wanted to start out by recognizing one of their outstanding students. Adams staff nominated him, after he was caught "Doing Something Great!" Congratulations George on starting the year out strong, wishing you a great school year!

Wayne Youth Services is proud to partner with WWCSD to help support student success. This year the school district announced its campaign: 📚 AIM FOR 8! 🎯

Every school day matters! This year, Wayne-Westland Community Schools is launching our Aim for 8 Attendance Campaign to encourage students and families to make regular attendance a priority.

Our goal is simple: Aim for 8 or fewer absences during the school year.

When students are in school every day, they have more opportunities to learn, build relationships, participate in activities and stay on track for success. Even a few missed days can add up and make a difference.

Wayne Youth Services was proud to sponsor Adams Middle School and their students to attend the National History Day Comp in Washington D.C.

We are so proud of all of the participants and hope they enjoyed their time in DC.

🏆 Adams Middle School made its mark on the NATIONAL stage!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Jackson Vincent-Fowler and Ethan Molitor for their outstanding performances at the 2026 National History Day Competition!

Jackson earned an Honorable Mention and was recognized among the Top 20 in the Nation for his Junior Individual Exhibit, “A Ripple of Revolution: The Salmon Revolution and the Reform of Michigan’s Ecosystem.”

Ethan also earned an Honorable Mention and was recognized among the Top 30 in the Nation for his Junior Individual Exhibit, “From Pines to Progress: Michigan’s Lumber Revolution.”

These young historians advanced from Adams Middle School to compete against some of the very best students from across the United States and eight countries. Their success reflects their curiosity, perseverance, scholarship, and countless hours of hard work.

We also want to recognize the Adams staff, families, and National History Day advisors who supported these students throughout their journey. Achievements like this are possible when talented students are surrounded by people who believe in them and challenge them to reach higher.
