It’s been a busy week for the Southside!
🎆 July 1, 2026 – We were proud to stand by alongside the other Wayne fire companies, Wayne Township Memorial First Aid Squad, and Wayne Police Department for the annual Wayne PAL Fireworks Show. It was a great event, and we’re glad everyone was able to enjoy the celebration safely.
🎟️ July 2, 2026 – We launched our leather helmet raffle! With only 300 tickets available, they’re selling quickly. Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased through the link in our bio or by scanning the QR code on the raffle flyer.
🚒 July 3, 2026 – At approximately 11:53 PM, Wayne Fire Company 2 and the Wayne Special Response Team were dispatched to the area of Park Lane for a report of a vehicle in the river. While crews were operating at that incident, Wayne Fire Company 2 was also requested for mutual aid to a working structure fire in Lincoln Park. Crews responded to both incidents, and all units were back in service at approximately 4:00 AM.
These calls are a reminder that while many are sleeping in preparation for holiday celebrations, our volunteers are always ready to answer the call—day or night.
