Congratulations to PCTI Student of the Month, A***n Pashtuniar!
A***n is a motivated student in PCTI’s School of Construction Technology, where he studies Carpentry and develops his skills through hands-on learning. He enjoys taking concepts introduced in the classroom and applying them directly in the shop while working with a variety of materials.
Being named PCTI’s September Student of the Month recognizes A***n’s strong academic performance and involvement in the school community. His dedication to his studies is reflected in his impressive 4.2 GPA.
“I chose Carpentry because I enjoy taking what we learn in the classroom and using it hands-on in the shop, where we get to experience building with many different materials,” A***n shared. The program has helped him strengthen his practical skills while seeing how classroom instruction applies to real-world projects.
Beyond his CTE program, A***n serves on the board of the Muslim Student Association, where he contributes to the school community while building leadership skills and working alongside his peers.
Outside of PCTI, A***n works at a restaurant, giving him firsthand insight into the daily operations of a business and what it takes to keep a restaurant running.
After high school, A***n plans to attend a four-year university and earn a degree in mechanical engineering. His experience in Carpentry, combined with his interest in building and problem-solving, has helped shape his future goals.
This year’s theme, “Embrace the Moment,” reminds A***n to stay focused on the present. “To me, ‘Embrace the Moment’ means not getting too fixated on the past or worrying about the future, but rather focusing on what is going on in the present,” he said. “Taking it one step at a time and focusing on what we have right now is very beneficial.”
Congratulations, A***n! Your achievements make you a valued member of the PCTI community. We look forward to seeing all that you accomplish!
