The Wayland Department of Public Works would like to notify residents and the public that Glezen Lane will be closed to through traffic on Wednesday, August 19 & Thursday, August 20 due to roadway construction and paving operations.
Closure Schedule:
Wednesday August 19, 2026
🕖 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
Weston Town Line to the Wayland Swim & Tennis Club
🕘 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Wayland Swim & Tennis Club to Draper Road
🕑 2:00 p.m. until completion of work day
Draper Road to Concord Road

Please Note:
• Residents living within the closure areas will continue to have access to their homes.
• The Wayland Swim & Tennis Club will remain accessible to members throughout the project.
• All through traffic will be detoured to Route 20 and should seek alternate routes.

The Wayland Department of Public Works would like to notify residents and the public that Glezen Lane will be closed Tuesday August 4 & Wednesday, August 5 to through traffic on due to roadway construction and paving operations.
Closure Schedule:
🕖 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Weston Town Line to the Wayland Swim & Tennis Club
🕘 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Wayland Swim & Tennis Club to Draper Road
🕑 2:00 p.m. until completion of work

🚧 Glezen Lane Paving Update 🚧
Due to the forecasted weather, tomorrow's paving of Glezen Lane has been postponed. We are working with the contractor to determine the next available paving date and will provide an update as soon as it is confirmed. At this time, paving could be rescheduled as early as Tuesday, weather and contractor availability permitting.
Glezen Lane will remain open to traffic tomorrow. Please remember that the roadway is still in gravel, so we ask all motorists to slow down and use caution.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. We will keep everyone informed as soon as we have a confirmed paving schedule.

🚧 DPW Road Construction Update – Glezen Lane (As of July 28)
The Wayland DPW would like to inform residents that Glezen Lane is now OPEN to all traffic until further notice.
The contractor anticipates beginning the binder course of paving as early as Thursday or Friday, weather permitting. Temporary road closures and detours may be necessary during paving operations. We will provide additional updates as soon as the schedule is confirmed.
⚠️ Please keep in mind:
• Much of the roadway remains gravel as construction continues.
• Please slow down and drive with caution to help keep everyone safe and minimize dust.
• Watch for construction equipment, work crews, and changing road conditions.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we continue improving Wayland's roadways. Thank you for helping keep our workers and fellow residents safe.
