There appears to be some misinformation circulating regarding the City of Waycross’ upcoming hours of operation, so we’d like to provide clarification.

Beginning July 1, City Hall lobby hours will be:

• Monday–Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

These are lobby hours only.

City staff will continue to be available by telephone and email:

• Monday–Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Residents can continue to call, email, and access online services during these hours. Those needing in-person assistance may visit City Hall during lobby hours.

Residents may also continue to use the drop box and take advantage of our growing online services to conduct business with the City.

📢 City of Waycross Announces New Operating Hours Beginning July 1, 2026

To better align staffing resources and continue providing efficient service, the City of Waycross will implement new operating hours effective July 1, 2026.

🏛️ City Hall Lobby Hours
Monday – Thursday: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

📞 Phone & Email Availability
City staff will continue to be available by phone and email:

Monday – Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.

💻 Residents can continue to conduct business online at www.waycrossga.gov, including payments, permits, licenses, and other services.

📬 A secure drop box remains available for after-hours payments and correspondence, and a new payment kiosk will be coming soon to provide additional convenience for residents.
