Life Waxahachie Mustangs competed at the Region II-4A Track Meet hosted at East Texas A&M University in Commerce this weekend.

Congratulations to Head Coach Lyle Linscomb and his outstanding staff, our talented student-athletes, and our dedicated athletic trainers and sports medicine team. We also extend our sincere appreciation to our administration, staff, and parents for the support you provide to our student-athletes.

Our Lady Mustangs delivered an outstanding performance, finishing as Regional Runner-Up, while the Mustang boys secured an impressive 3rd place overall team finish, an incredible accomplishment at one of the most competitive meets in the state.

Highlights & State Qualifiers:

Girls:
🥇 4x200m Relay – Regional Champions
🥇 4x400m Relay – Regional Champions (NEW School & Meet Record)
🥇 Bailey Murry – Regional Champion (Discus)
🥈 Bailey Murry – Runner-Up (Shot Put) (State Qualifier in both events)
🏃‍♀️ Ramyha Torres – State Qualifier (400m Run)

Boys:
🥇 4x200m Relay – Regional Champions (Broke a 25-year-old meet record and set school record)
🥈 4x100m Relay – Regional Runner-Up (State Qualifier)

These performances reflect the relentless work, discipline, and excellence of our student-athletes and as well as the commitment and expertise of our outstanding coaching staff. To compete and rise at this level speaks volumes about the culture being built within our atheltic program.

We are incredibly proud of our Mustangs and look forward to cheering them on as they represent Life School at the UIL State Track and Field Championships in Austin!
