Congrats to our Teen Winners! All of the poems were amazing, and it was hard to judge. Shout out to the amazing students at Waxahachie Preparatory Academy - y'all are extremely talented!🏆

Congratulations to our 2026 Irene Emerson Poetry Winners!

The Children's age group winners will receive a ribbon!
The Overall Children's Winners will receive Amazon Gift Cards! $50 for 1st Place and $25 for 2nd and 3rd Places.

Overall Teen and Adult Winners will receive Amazon Gift Cards as well- $150 for 1st Place, $100 for 2nd Place, and $50 for 3rd Place.

All of our winners are invited to display their poems in our Art Exhibition Show, which is coming in July. More info will be sent out this summer!

D&D, Weeeeeeeee
FYI Y'all, this month's D&D meetups will be the last times for 11 AM. Starting in June, we will start D&D at 12 PM and end at 2! Since it's summer, and sleep is of vital importance, I thought we could start an hour later.
But for May, we'll keep meeting from 11A-1P.

The Irene Emerson Poetry Contest is now accepting submissions! Whether you're a seasoned writer or just starting out, this is your chance to share your voice and creativity with the community.

📝 Open to ages 5+
📍 Must be an Ellis County resident
🏆 Cash prizes awarded for kids, teens, and adults
📅 Deadline: April 18 at 5:30 PM

Submit your original, unpublished poem (one entry per poet, max two pages) by email or in person. Don’t forget—no names on the poem itself!
