Today we celebrated our 2nd Annual Wedgey Awards and our End-of-Year MAP Gemstone Awards, and let’s just say… there were lots of laughs, a few tears, and just enough staff roasting to keep everyone humble. 😅

From celebrating incredible student growth to recognizing the personalities, quirks, and moments that made this year unforgettable, we’re grateful we can close the book on a really great year together! Our staff has worked incredibly hard all year long, and it was such a fun way to celebrate.

Wedgeworth is a special place because of the people in it — the relationships, the resilience, the humor, and the heart behind everything we do. 💚

As we wrap up an incredible school year, we’re so thankful for the support, time, and generosity of our amazing school community. Today was a full circle moment for our Wedgeworth seniors. 💚🎓

Our 2026 seniors walked the halls of their elementary school one last time as former teachers and administrators welcomed them back with hugs, cheers, smiles, and lots of memories. Families gathered to watch their children return to the place where their school journey first began.

We ended the celebration with a special reception for our seniors as we celebrate all they’ve accomplished. Once a Wedgeworth student, always a Wedgeworth student! 💚

A special congratulations to former Wedgeworth student David Camargo, Waxahachie High School’s Class of 2026 Valedictorian! We are so proud of you and all of our graduating seniors! You did it!🧑🏽‍🎓👩🏼‍🎓👨🏾‍🎓
