This stunning sunrise photo, captured by one of our Golf Maintenance staff members, is a perfect reminder of the dedication and pride that goes into maintaining the Waverly Municipal Golf Course

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to our Golf Maintenance team for their exceptional work this spring. Their hard work, attention to detail, and countless early mornings have the course looking outstanding and playing at a high level. Their efforts were on full display recently as the course successfully hosted the Iowa Girls 4A State Golf Championship, showcasing Waverly to athletes, coaches, and visitors from across the state.

With a full season of tournaments, leagues, outings, and recreational play still ahead, there has never been a better time to experience our beautiful 18-hole course. Whether you're a seasoned golfer or just looking to enjoy a round with friends, we invite you to come see the results of the team's incredible work firsthand.

Relay For Life – Cruising for a Cure 🚗💜

Join the community tonight, Friday, May 29, from 5:00–9:00 PM at Walston-Hoover Stadium on the Wartburg College campus for the Bremer County Relay For Life: Cruising for a Cure.

This special evening brings our community together to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones we have lost, and support those who continue to fight cancer. Several City of Waverly employees will be participating in honor and memory of family members, friends, coworkers, and loved ones affected by cancer.

Enjoy an evening filled with:
✨ Survivor Celebration
🚘 Show & Shine Car Show
🎵 Live Entertainment
🧒 Free Kids Zone
🎁 Silent Auction
🍔 Great Food & Refreshments

Whether you stay for an hour or the entire evening, your presence helps support an important cause and shows those affected by cancer that they are not alone.

We encourage everyone to come out and be part of this meaningful community event. Together, we remember, celebrate, and fight back. 💜
